A beautiful choice in color and whimsy.

Reproduction tile project

Ellen needed 40 bee tiles. She sent us one bee tile for us to evaluate. It wasn’t a perfect match because we make our own glazes. However, our version had unique features, like the black glaze thinning delicately at the edges of the tile, that gave the whole project an antiquated feel.

Craftsman style featuring Leaf Green glaze. A beautiful example on how to incorporate an existing tile collection into a permanent installation.

Custom Logo Tile

In this example, our client had their image ready. Rick used the CNC machine to carve a custom mold. Our production now involves a Ram press, which made the workflow more efficient. Lead times were reduced and our client received her tiles ahead of schedule.

The joy of custom!

Erika's Backsplash

Wanting to honor the previous owners of her California home. Using their last names as inspirations, we were commissioned to make the tiles: Hawley (holly tile), Orr (lost oar tile), Loveberg (lovebirds tile), and Cheswick (Chess piece with a wick). Other complimentary handmade tile surrounds and finished the project. Now that’s making the house a home!

Bar Backsplash Layout

Here’s a recent bar backsplash we did for a client in the Detroit area. I love the multi color old world feel of this piece. The first image shows a preinstall layout with sample insert tiles. The second image shows how Rhonda chose to personalize her space with Destination tiles.

Lily Pattern Floor

Our client was inspired by nature and wished to incorporate a lily motive for her tile flooring. Rick designed an undulating repeating pattern of lily flowers and leaves in the border. Harmonizing green field tiles with variation bring the outdoors into this beautiful space.

Embossed Floor Tile

Details make the difference. Consult with us on how to add texture. We’ll sculpt your ideas into your design space. For this project, Fleur de Lis compliment the center tiles, framing in the center tiles. Simple, restful, wonderful.

Furniture project- Craftsman table

Kevin designed a Craftsman style table that showcased our handmade tile. From the architectural palette for durability and texture he chose S5G-19 ACE. His expert skill produced a beautiful piece. Project cost under $250.

Glaze test for Wood Lily Orange

Chandra saw potential in our mini alphabet tiles. Mimicking blocks that little ones play with, we chose glaze colors to represent the primary colors. She asked if we could make a glaze, orange in color, similar to the wood lily flower that grows wild here in Michigan.

Rick ran a line blend test, which is described as it sounds: a line of glaze test results that fall between two known glaze colors. Our super saturated Coral glaze and our Mango yellow, also created for those little alphabet tiles did the trick. Right in the middle, wood lily orange glaze is found.
